Jim Gordon is the managing partner of Beers & Gordon, P.A., where he represents individuals in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. With nearly 30 years of experience, Jim has served as lead trial counsel in complex litigation and authored numerous appellate briefs and arguments in both state and federal courts. His work is defined by a steadfast commitment to achieving justice for his clients through skilled advocacy, compassion, and integrity.
Before founding Beers & Gordon, Jim spent a decade working for one of the world’s largest commercial insurance carriers, handling catastrophic injury and high-value claims. That experience gave him an insider’s understanding of how insurance companies evaluate and defend cases—insight he now uses to level the playing field for his clients.
Jim Gordon fulfilled a lifelong goal when he attended and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. During his time at Notre Dame, Jim not only focused on his academics but also served as dorm president and student senator, coached soccer and football, and volunteered in the South Bend, Indiana community.
After graduation, Jim worked in marketing for several years before returning to pursue his legal education. Jim went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law, laying the foundation for a career dedicated to advocacy, integrity, and service.
Beyond the courtroom, Jim is deeply rooted in the Oviedo and Winter Springs community, where he and his family have lived for more than 20 years. He’s a familiar face at local events, charity fundraisers, and youth sports fields—always looking for ways to give back to the community that has supported his family and firm.
Jim is an active member and leader in F3 Orlando, a national men’s leadership organization centered on fitness, fellowship, and faith. Through F3, he helps organize workouts, charity drives, and leadership events that promote health and community connection across Central Florida.
A passionate supporter of youth athletics, Jim coached soccer for nearly 15 years, from the YMCA to Florida Kraze Krush (FKK), where he now serves on the Board of Directors. His mentorship reflects his belief in helping young people grow through teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
Jim’s community service extends well beyond the field. He served on the HOPE Helps Board for eight years, including two as Chair, and on the Oviedo Police Foundation Board for six years, including time as President. He continues to support a variety of local charities, schools, and first responder initiatives. Under his leadership, Beers & Gordon sponsors community safety programs, educational efforts, and health awareness initiatives—providing both financial and hands-on support.
Jim’s dedication to service extends to the legal profession as well. He served on the Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association Board for seven years, including as President in 2023. He has also served on the Board of the Florida Justice Association and maintains active memberships in national and international organizations such as the American Association for Justice and PEOPIL (the Pan-European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers).
He is a frequent presenter at the Florida Bar Annual Convention, where he lectures on topics in personal injury law, helping educate and mentor fellow attorneys. Beyond the legal field, Jim has spoken to numerous civic and community organizations across Central Florida, sharing insights on safety, advocacy, and community engagement.
Through these roles and presentations, Jim continues to advance the legal profession while giving back to the community he serves.
To Jim, practicing law is more than a career—it’s a calling to help others. Whether he’s representing a client in the courtroom or volunteering at a local event, he strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him.
In the courtroom and in the community, Jim Gordon is where compassion meets results.
